Opis:

Narratorem i zarazem bohaterem filmu jest 108-letni mężczyzna - Paul (Dabbs Greer), który opowiada o swojej służbie w więziennictwie. Widząc więźniów ginących na krzesłach elektrycznych, zawsze był przekonany o ich winie. Wszystko się zmieniło, gdy do więzienia trafił potężny czarnoskóry mężczyzna, John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan), oskarżony o morderstwo dwóch dziewczynek.
